| I took a photo of gray in here,
on a bright spring morning, yeah it was a friday,we were both disappointed about the exhibits so we just photographed each other instead by the large windows overlooking the mall, we still had to sign a permit, for photographing. |

| I have been to the ICA once. I went to an exhibition of an artists that works with video, photography and instalations. I can't remember his name but I remember his work very well specially a video where he put a camera in a barrel and then he filmed while it was in movement. This particular vision of the streets it was something I've wanted to experience before. | |

| I have to agree with Mr.Brunt. The naked poetry evening was fabulous. Moving, spiritual and fucking hilarious in almost equal proportions. I left feeling uplifted and in NO doubt that I had truly witnessed ART. Two of my colleagues were overcome by the performances; they became lovers that night. They are now planning a naked wedding in honour of that outstanding evening. | |

| Without doubt one of the most entertaining performances of 1998 was your evening of Naked Poetry. The Shamanic Ritual dance was the most inspired, although the poem entitled "Nipples" came close. The elderly bespectacled gentlemen in the audience clutching plastic bags and raincoats merely added to the experience. Fabulous. | |

| I remember seeing a projection of some yellow birds in a glass jar in the space thats between the two galleries upstairs. I think it was by Matt Collishaw - but I'm not sure - Its difficult to see anything else in that space now because I always remeber those yellow birds fluttering around the glass jar. | |

| - I can't remember exactly when it was but it was linked to the Belladona show. The performance was during the private view, organised by Vanessa Beecroft (although she wasn't in it) It involved various models naked fron the waite down except for high heels staring at the people in the private view. I dont think this was the aim I think we were all meant to mingle but it turned into a bit of a face off. From the waist up they were wearing soft beige tops, hair tied back and too much makeup. It was orangy foundation and 4o's style red lips. They looked a bit too like the makeup ladies in boots - except that they were models. They were facing the audience looking arrogant and dont care-ish whilst the audience sipped their drinks very quietly. Occassionally the models would move to sit down, assume a profile, stand futher forwards or back.
Part of what made this occassion memorable was the awareness of being involved in a very ridiculous situation. All that seperated them from the audience was a sense of awarkwardness. Not embarassing - Just tense. I remember they had blotchy skin on their thighs which made them too physical and vunerable and real. In contrast they had silly little lines which was all that was left of their pubic hair. were they brave ? paid alot? into what they were doing? , just too professional to care?, natural exhibitionist ? It must have taken alot to be stand there while the private view goers scutinized them like I did. |

| there was a small video projection in the space between the two galleries upstairs - I think by Matt Collishaw but I'm not sure. It was a projection of a yellow bird fluttering
in a cage. It was really simple and beautiful. I can never appreciate whatever new piece of art work is there now because for me that yellow bird haunts that bit of space forever. |
